The art and science of Kobido in ten ancestral technics
Japanese facial massage – Discover the Science of Touch
Takumi Finch (engl.)
This workshop explores the profound connection between individuals and their faces. The face holds immense significance for a person, serving as a mirror of our deepest emotional state. Japanese facial massage transcends mere relaxation and physical beauty. It nurtures and supports our sense of self-worth, fostering a deeper alignment with our bodies. This is why facial massage can have transformative therapeutic impacts, benefiting not only the body but also the mind and soul.
During these two days, you will learn a short protocol in ancestral Japanese facial massage. The Takumi Finch Institute trains fascia therapists specializing in facial care. Endorsed by esteemed institutions such as the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, the University of Bordeaux, and the Institute of Neurodegenerative Illnesses, our institute strives to deepen the understanding of massage benefits for patients and clients alike. Guided by ancient Taoist arts and philosophies, we prioritize the amalgamation of science and touch. It is through this fusion that the practitioner’s craft gains its true significance, nurturing a profound connection between the massage therapist and the recipient.
Program Highlights:
– A comprehensive 8-step protocol drawn from authentic Japanese techniques, specifically tailored for facial care.
– Six massage techniques covering the entirety of the face.
– One technique dedicated to releasing tension in both patient and client.
– One technique to ground the patient and client in the present moment.
– Working from an anchored posture: the reed that bends with the wind.
– Presentation of three research studies relevant to the work of fascia therapists.
Each Japanese technique needs a lot of explaining and teaching time. This protocol will already challenge your skills. And you will love it.
