Teaching Practice for Patients

Are you interested in Chinese medical treatment? Then you’re in the right place. Throughout our programs we offer people the opportunity to be treated by our students at a discount price.

Treatment occurs, of course, under the supervision of our experienced faculty.

Acupuncture Teaching Practice

At the beginning of a course of treatment, students conduct a comprehensive anamnesis and establish a diagnosis which is important for conceptualizing the treatment.

An acupuncture treatment lasts approximately an hour and consists of three parts:
-a conversation about your condition and alleviating symptoms
-diagnostics (tongue, pulse, stomach, etc.)
-acupuncture and/or moxibustion

During an acupuncture treatment approximately five to a dozen thin, sterile, single-use needles are used. Once the needles have been inserted you can relax. The treatment will now take its effect. The number of treatments depends on the kind of symptoms you have and their persistence.

Acupuncture can be used for a broad spectrum of symptoms. Frequently occurring diseases in the practice include: indigestion, allergies, musculoskeletal pain, menstrual pain, and chronic illness.
Are you wondering whether your symptoms can be treated by Chinese medicine?
Get in touch. We’ll gladly let you know.

Our students mainly work in pairs and are supervised by faculty with many years of practical experience. They are very familiar with an array of diverse symptoms, guaranteeing high-quality treatment. In addition, there is an assistant on site to ensure the highest possible level of support to our students and patients.

Supervised Patient Treatment

With this offer we’d like to offer all graduates the opportunity to gain more supervised practical experience and increase treatment success.

Do you need reassurance while giving treatment or using individual methods? Is your practice opening soon and you’d like to hone your treatment skills? Are you looking for practical supervision for difficult cases?

In the teaching practice we help you translate the theory you’ve learned into tangible work with patients. We highly value supporting you to the best of our ability. Acupuncture is well known for its variety of currents and highly diverse modes of thinking and approaches. We offer you the space to apply, understand, and enhance these different models.

The focus is on the actual treatment. Practice is needed to master the various tools and techniques of Chinese medicine. In our teaching practice we give you the framework to do so, calmly and in small supervised teams. Whether you’d like to train your needling skills, practice positioning cupping glasses, different moxa techniques, or gua sha, we support you as you gather your own experience.

Get in touch if you’d like to treat patients in our teaching practice. Based on prior experience and your particular interests (needling technique, pulse, style of therapy), one of our four faculty members will support and guide you.

200 hours of basic education in Chinese medicine is required.

Getting started as a practitioner in the teaching practice is possible twice a year, after the spring and autumn holidays. To ensure the highest quality and continuity, participation in one cycle lasts at least six months.

A cycle consists of 19 units of six hours each (once a week). The teaching practice observes Berlin school holidays.
